I wanted to do one of those posts that reflect on what you've accomplished that year, so I decided to check what my statistics say on Archive of Our Own.



As of today, I have over:

10k hits
100 bookmarks
180k words

I often forget my collected stats even exist, haha! Usually I just eagerly see that a recent work of mine bumped up by about ten hits (I ship a very rare crossover pairing).

That's quite the impressive cumulative word count! For myself, I think an ideal New Year's resolution would be to publish a multichapter fic. But honestly, given how hard it is for me to stick to one idea for a prolonged period, I might just go for publishing a handful of one-shots, and maybe working on a singular multichapter fic, as opposed to trying to publish it. (I know you weren't making this as a New Year's post, but I figured it may be a good conversation starter.)

That's a great resolution! It's easy for me to come up with longfic ideas, but not so easy to actually complete them. ^^; Sometimes a one-shot can be broken up into multiple chapters if it's long enough, though. Thanks for the comment. I hope you're able to accomplish your fic goals for 2026!
