Hi there and welcome to my Dreamwidth journal!

Here you'll find posts about my fandoms, particularly Sonic the Hedgehog! All the fandoms I talk about will always be of the videogame or animated show variety, because I love gaming and cartoons. Entries that contain things like ships or mature subjects will be neatly tucked beneath a cut.

Topics will range from discussion blogs, my fanworks, recommendations, lists, the occasional real-life post, promos, challenges, memes, and so on.

Challenge #10: Mini Mood Collection

I never tried making a moodboard before, but it was fun!

I used the final chapter of my latest fanfic as my muse. All the clipart/vector images were found on creazilla.com and gahag.net.

Challenge #9: Discuss Your Favorite Tropes

There's a lot of tropes I love to read/watch/write. One of my favorites is Slice of Life.

I adore watching my favorite characters live an ordinary life. I like seeing them have a meal, go shopping, hang out. Their simple joy brings me immense joy. 😍 I love it when I get to see these moments in canon and in fanfiction, between friends and between my ships.

It's a really fun, easy, and relaxing trope for me to write about. It also helps that it can encompass various other cutesy plots and tropes like Curtain Fic, Fluff, School AUs...

And it's especially satisfying to see/read/write when the canon is normally full of action, because dipping into slice of life feels like a reward for all the hard work everyone had to go through. Job well done, team, now go get some ice cream!

Challenge #7: List 3 or More Things You Like About Yourself

This'll be a cinch! I love myself, so I'll go above and beyond with 5 things instead of 3. Here's the list:

My hair.
I like how it's a mix between wavy and curly.

My writing skills.
I like how I write the fanfics I want to read. 🩷

My introversion.
I like relaxing by myself.

My metabolism.
Once I reached my ideal weight, keeping it within the range I wanted was easier thanks to my metabolism.

My love for anthros.
I like being a fan of anthropomorphic animal characters. 😻 I love how I can appreciate them and run across wonderful works about them.

Here is a list of my current top ten fandom communities! These are places I enjoy either lurking or participating in.

Dreamwidth
It may be old-fashioned, but it's a fandom home I trust.

r/FanFiction
An active community on Reddit all about writing and reading fanfiction. I like to view it using the Redlib front end service.

Lemmy.world
An instance of Lemmy, which is part of the Fediverse and an alternative site similar to Reddit. It has all kinds of communities I can enjoy as a fan, from the broad topic of gaming to a more specific fandom like Calvin and Hobbes.

Aethy
An instance of a Mastodon fork that's part of the Fediverse and an alternative site similar to Twitter. It allows NSFW content, including the loli/shota/cub variety. 👀

Tumblr
Lots of active fandom blogs to explore. I like to view it using Tumbex or the Priviblur front end service.

Discord
There are a lot of fandom servers to get involved in. One that I really like is the 30+ Fanfic Discord server for fanfic writers who are in their 30s or older.

DeviantArt
It has fanart and fandom groups galore!

Sonic Blast
An old-school individual forum for Sonic the Hedgehog fans.

The Gamers' Tavern
An instance of PeerTube, which is part of the Fediverse and an alternative site similar to YouTube. It focuses on gaming videos.

Pixiv
Lots of fanart to look at!
